Our Mission Is Simple
Our mission is simple...
Our dad, Pastor Porfirio Hernandez founded La Promesa in 2003 in the inner city of San Antonio, TX. He made a huge impact on the community, but when he passed from Covid in 2021, we made a decision to close the church & sell the building.
Little did we know, a year later, we would be restarting The Promise Center in a bar off 151.
Our mission is simple...Find the lost, heal the broken, serve the community.
And, to continue on the legacy of our father.
God has blessed us, and continues to bless us as we go forward with this mission.

Thanksgiving Basket Drive
Thank you to our Partners who helped us feed 50 families during Thanksgiving. We filled bags with turkeys, all the sides, plus pies and drinks. This made a massive impact on the families in our community! Thank you!
Winter Wonderland Christmas Toy Drive Event
With our Partners, we were able to bless 300 kids with Christmas gifts and a full Winter Wonderland with Santa himself. These kids would probably not have had a Christmas if it weren't for the generosity of our Partners. Thank you!

Jesus said...'Call all the little children unto me...", we take the responsibility of raising our kids in a faith-based church very seriously. Each kids service is crafted with love and intention. Every Partner who serves in our Kids Church is prepared and equipped to help show Jesus' love to them, and help them find their purpose in Him. We have a free t-shirt for every kid's first time in our Kids Church! Services are every Sunday at 10:30am, tacos and coffee are served at 10am.

We know teen years are hard, filled with influence, peer pressure, and so many decisions that make a huge impact on the rest of our teens lives. We help guide our teens in making good decisions, and learning to keep Jesus at the center of everything they do. We have a free t-shirt for you, if you'd like to come check it out! Services are every Sunday at 10:30am, tacos and coffee are served at 10am.

We believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ. We believe that He died for my sin so that I might have eternal life. (Jhn 3:16) We believe that Gods grace is more powerful than our sin and by the Grace of God we are saved. We believe that Christ is looking for the lost and broken. We believe the local Church is essential in this search as we join Christ to find those searching for answers.

Yes. We have a Kids Church and Youth Church program. We'd love to meet your family, come and join us this Sunday!
